About Us

We are a group of scientists, researchers and representatives of governmental organizations as well as non-governmental organizations who implement activities in favor of the conservation of wildlife associated with water bodies. By means of coordinated monitoring we seek to provide information on the population trends of mammals and birds at a regional level. The data can then serve as early warning to identify pressures on biodiversity generated by climate change or anthropogenic activities. In addition, we are working on the generation and analysis of information and useful recommendations for decision making in management and conservation of the ecosystems of the Selva Maya.
